Credit Reports
If you are about to start rebuilding your credit, check your credit report first. Call or - even better - write to the Credit Bureaus and ask them to remove any incorrect item from your report (they have to respond in 30 days to your complaint). The easiest way to get unwanted and false items off is calling your creditors who put those items there, and ask them to make them removed. After you have removed the bad items from your credit report you can start rebuilding your credit. The easiest way to start is with a line of credit or a revolving credit line (e.g.: a credit card) to prove your credit worthiness. Get one or two credit cards/credit lines for your personal use only. Don't have too many cards, so you'll be able to monitor your spending. Use these cards to buy everyday items, like fuel and clothes and make sure you do not overspend yourself. By paying always on time you can rebuild your credit rating fast.
